Ryder is the main character in Mass Effect: Andromeda. Ryder is shown in trailers as both male and female and BioWare has confirmed that Ryder is actually a brother and sister team. You can play as Scott or Sara with their default appearances, or change their names and looks completely to create your own, unique Ryder. Whichever you choose, the other will be alive somewhere in the universe as you play through the story. 

Ryder Information

• Ryder is a Human Pathfinder and is sent on the Arks to find a new home in the Andromeda Galaxy.
• Ryder is the commander of the Tempest, the ship that serves as your primary transportation. The Nomad is used for ground exploration of Locations.
• Ryder can choose from a variety of Skills, Weapons, and Armor and can create new gear through Crafting. There are no longer classes, instead you can choose Profiles on the fly that specialize your loadout.
• New Game Plus will allow you to play as the other Ryder sibling.
