Task: Volatile is a Mission in Mass Effect Andromeda. Missions advance the main story, and flesh out the side content of the game as well as provide opportunities for rewards and exploration.

 

Task: Volatile Information

Sam has discovered a tracking device inside an explosive canister. The scavengers on Elaaden may be up to something.

 

 

Objectives

  1. Destroy the volatile canisters
  2. Follow the navpoint
  3. Destroy the explosive stockpile

 

 

Rewards

  • 530 XP

  

 

Walkthrough

 Find and destory volatile canister at outlaw sites across Elaaden.

 Follow navpoint to outlaw outpost, destroy the explosive stockpile and wipe out enemy.

 

 

Notes

  • There is no further information about why the scavengers stockpiled explosives.
  •  A camp with a canister will cause a companion to warn or ask the Pathfinder to search it when he gets close to it.

      There are no set locations for this quest, you will find them randomly in camps littered around the map so it is immposible to make a map for it.

        To add to the other location listed here in the comments, I found two more (actually while I was on my way to the one that was posted.) Ignore the waypoint for the map shots, just look for my vehicle/controller reticle.

          I had one in the south of the map, it was quite long to find it since I was not expecting to see a camp there...

            Genuinely shocked at the lack of guides for all these annoying collectable missions with no quest markers (not just on this site I mean, but the internet as a whole).

            Well, time to tackle another one of them without a guide, see you on the other side in about an hour or two...
