The Ghost of Promise is a Mission in Mass Effect Andromeda. Missions advance the main story, and flesh out the side content of the game as well as provide opportunities for rewards and exploration.

"You've discovered a research station left behind by one of Eos' first settlers. SAM theorizes that there may be more at other Remnant sites."

Walkthrough
As you explore Eos, you will come across Remnant sites that has a researcher's data station. You will need to find three datapads from three locations in Eos. One can be found near the forward station south of Site 2: Resilience and another one in a Remnant site south of The Golden Wastes lake.
After examining the datapads, SAM will set a navpoint for you to follow. After decending into the Gravity Well, search the area and you will find Ana Carrell's datapad journals.
After collecting the datapads, follow the navpoint back to Prodromos to upload the journals and finish the task.
Notes
- After starting the quest you have to locate 2 more Researcher's Data Station in [Random] Remnant Sites across Eos. After locating the 3rd and last Reseacher's Data Station, SAM will set a navpoint to a [NEW] Gravity well (East of the lake Gravity Well) for you to follow.
- When you get into the [NEW] Gravity Well, turn left (from what i remember) and you will find a small camp with 3 datapads. DAY 1, DAY 8 and FINAL DAY Datapads on the floor pick it up and return to Prodromos.

I turned it all in @ Prodromos but my task list still says I have to find other researchers camps, is this a bug or are there more that I may have missed?

How do you survive the level 3 radiation surrounding the location at the gravity well?

If you happened to start the quest by discovering the vault with 3 data pads (Day 1, Day 8, Day final) and now are stuck with "Find researcher's other stations" task, your best guess would be routinely checking all remnant sites for 3 data pads.
I had one data pad in Blackrock Tande, others somewhere around the Golden Wastes.
You would have to look for a small white desk/box with lamp construction and a data pad on top of it. Easy to miss. Scout remnant sites all around the perimeter.

Just a heads up, you can discover the Gravity Well first and return the datapads before you even get the initial datapads, but you'll still have to go find the initial 3 as displayed in the screenshots then drive to the nav point to complete the task

i've found all three bits of data, went to the gravity well and killed the boss but there are no final journals?

I found the gravity well by just randomly exploring and got the quest from there. Went around the points in your screenshots but found nothing. Is this a glitch?

I just want to know the secret to the damn door in the room with the destroyer.. If u scan the back "wall" it says it may function as a motion activated door. Knowning this makes me want to figure it out. Lmao but alas.. Ive failed.

So the places I was able to find them were in the Remnant Site south of Site 2 and next to the Golden Wastes lake (this is where the quest triggered). The second one I found was a bit south east of Site 2 (a Remnant site is there and will be attacked by Kett). The third was east behind some boulders of the giant lake at the very south of the map (can't remember what the area is called). Hope this helps, but again these are supposedly in random spots.
I've got screenshots with the waypoints for all three datapads. The location of all datapads are preset not random as people have suggested.

I haven't been able to find the first datapad to start the quest. Checked the scourged site right past the first monolith, but there's nothing there. Haven't found anything at other remnant spots around the area either.
Anyone know if something causes the research station to disappear? Finishing the Vault maybe? Or are there more locations where the quest can start in the heavily irradiated zones?

Cannot progress any further in this damn quest. It just says "Locate the researcher's other stations". When I track the quest there are no waypoints. I did randomly find another gravity well to the far east with a Destroyer in there and found some data pads and a door I can't seem to open. Going outsid4e and checking my map at the entrance to this place it shows gravity well and remnant site icons. However, as soon as I travel away the icons vanish. Is this normal. Are remnant sites randomly created as you explore and do not have a specific location?

Stuck on part 1. I have gone to every remnant site stated in online guides and the official prima guide. There are no data stations at any of the sites.

There is a bug that is currently in the game at the moment. Once you access the terminal to hand in this task you do get the XP but it stays in your additional tasks and not transfer to completed missions. No need to worry about it as it will get a patch in the future just keep playing as normal.

Anyone got exact position on the 3 datapads? Don't know which ones I've got and which ones I don't
How do you do this quest? I've found the datapad, but I get nothing else. I already completed the vault. saw nothing in there.

How many Data pad journals are in the Gravity well? I found to the left of the console. Plus I THINK I found something else behind the Destroyer thing, but haven't been able to find anything else down there, and unable to get the quest to update and send me back to the Colony.
It`s best to leave this task until well after you`ve activated the main vault on Eos. After you do that, go off planet for a while, do other stuff, and eventually your travels and missions will steer you back to Eos, where you`ll find the radiation levels have dropped to more tolerable levels. Then it`s time to get busy exploring and doing all of the many encounters and side quests on this planet. Activating the vaults first is always your best bet for any planet really.
