Yes but WHERE is the research station on Voeld? I can't find it anywhere...

From what I've been reading it looks you need to craft this on the planet that you get the quest on. If you craft it somewhere else, it won't complete which happened to me. I now noticed above the pre-req is to land on Voeld for this one.

well, have the same issue, i've also created another one shield, but the item from the quest is still in the inventory, and when i use it, nothing happens (and quest is still active).

I have crafted the item and installed it on the nomad, yet the task remains unfiniahed. Is this another glitch? I'm getting tired of this game glitching out/booting me/not saving. This is BS.
Note, I just crafted this shield gen on the Tempest and I didn't have it on the nomad before, but it didn't finish the quest. It may be the game only recognizes it when crafted on the planet.
