"Dr. Aridana sent a team out to study the Scourge; they haven't reported in. She fears the worst and asked you to find out what happened to them."

Walkthrough
You will find Dr. Aridana on the rear deck. When commons opens, she will move to the tech lab where you can speak to her to acquire this task. Use the console nearby to confirm the mission acceptance and make your way to find the shuttle.
Head to the Eriksson system and scan it for anomalies. You will find some starship wreckage. No one has survived. This completes this sad task.
