Sentinel is a Profile in Mass Effect Andromeda.  

 

Sentinel Information

"Sentinels are unique combatants, bringing a mix of tech and biotic abilities to the battlefields. This profile creates a direct link between Ryder's implant and his/her armor's built-in computer systems, granting him additional protection via flash-forged shielding."

 

 

Sentinel Strategies

  • Early Game - given the benefit to Power Restoration, this makes powers like Charge and Energy Drain more effective with their restorative properties, meaning you can use them at low levels but still get a substantial benefit from them.

  • General Combat - easily the tankiest profile with Tech Armor, this makes the Sentinel a great choice for all-purpose combat, or if you are fighting a mix of organic and synthetic enemies.  In addition, evolving your Tech powers to be both detonators and primers will greatly increase the number of combos you can perform, which all deal more damage as a Sentinel.

  • Boss Battles - the benefits that Sentinel brings involve quicker use of Tech powers and cheaper use of Biotic abilities that are upgraded to use shields instead of a cooldown.  Adding in the additional combo damage, and it makes the use of shield-powered Lance very efficient to use to detonate powers like Incinerate or Overload.  You get more combos out of it and each one is more powerful.

  • Notable Skills - the Sentinel can use any Tech or Biotic ability well, but these can potentially gain greater benefit or work very well with specific upgrades.

    Energy Drain, a skill that gains a lot of benefits from the Sentinel.  It can be upgraded to be a source power as well as a detonator, further benefiting from Sentinel's improved combo damage.

    Lance, a new biotic skill in Andromeda.  It can be upgraded to use some of your shields instead of a cooldown, meaning you can fire it as long as you have shields.  It synergizes well with Sentinel because the shield cost is reduced, meaning you won't have to make yourself completely vulnerable every time you use it.  It works very well as a very fast detonator, taking advantage of any combos that are set up.

    Incinerate, a classic "fireball" power.  Fire Combos can panic enemies which give the Sentinel some great crowd control, and fits well with Energy Drain (especially with the detonator upgrade); between the two, you can combo them off each other very quickly.

      Overall, I tried to keep them as generic as possible, but still informative and specific enough for those who want less guesswork.
