Taming a Desert-Making/This Dust Bowl Livable is a Mission in Mass Effect Andromeda. Missions advance the main story, and flesh out the side content of the game as well as provide opportunities for rewards and exploration.

"Elaaden is an arid, burning desert, but Remnant technology could make conditions more livable for Milky Way species and the angara. The key to doing so is the vault, which can be unearthed by activating the Remanant monoliths scattered about the planet."

Walkthrough
Activate three monoliths on Elaaden. The puzzle can be solved as following:
Explore the remnant vault at centre of Elaaden. Inside vault, there is five Remnant consoles linked to a locked door. Each console toggles three connections (It self and the ones next to it, if it is at a end, then the connection on the other end will be activated.) You need to activate all five in order to proceed.
Unlock th door, then head south, there is another puzzle. Activate the two high platform consoles first, then return and re-toggle the two previous ones (again). This should activates the central platform, which then opens the far-west door.
Go through that door to loop around the western area. Fight your way through Remnant forces , then enter the main area from the southwest door.
Interface another Remnant console to open the door to purification console and raises a platform to the northeast.
Reach the southeast portion of the map, interface the Remnant console to the south to reveal the bridge to the purification console room.
Activate the vault now or explore northeast part of the vault first. In that area, you need to activate all consoles not accompanied by a floating orb. Then interface the final one just showed up. The room on the east has a Remanant console which you can interface to get a Remnant Core.
Activate the purification console then exit the vault.
